BLONDE BUTTER SYRUP #BREAKFAST #CREAMY


Forget maple syrup! Blonde Spread Syrup is the BEST hand crafted syrup you will ever attempt! It's velvety, rich, rich, and with just 3 fixings, you can get it ready quickly! Ideal for languid ends of the week and Christmas breakfast as well! 

I was first acquainted with this syrup when my significant other and I were youthful love birds and we were going to a hitched understudy ward for our congregation. We would have a "Wait Longer" from time to time where we would remain after chapel was finished and eat nourishment. The sustenance was anything from suppers, to sweets, to morning meals. One of the women in our ward made the BEST margarine syrup for one of our morning meal exercises. I had never had a go at anything like it. I was totally dependent thus happy she imparted the formula to us! 

This syrup is smooth, rich, and rich – simply like you would anticipate from its name. So. Flipping. Scrumptious! It's thick and sweet. I'll even venture to state that I like it superior to genuine maple syrup on my flapjacks. It's THAT great!

Ingredients  :
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Instructions  :
  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over the stovetop.
  2. Place evaporated milk in a large microwaveable dish/glass measure cup. Microwave for 60 seconds or until boiling.
  3. Add sugar to the evaporated milk immediately after removing from the microwave. (It will puff up when you first add the sugar to the milk, so that's why you want a big container to stir it in.)
  4. Whisk sugar and milk for a minute until sugar is mostly dissolved. Add to melted butter on the stove and whisk continuously over medium-high heat. Continue whisking until the syrup boils and thickens up (happens when it reaches a boil.) Don't cook too long or it will caramelize the sugars and it won't be that blonde butter syrup you want.
  5. *Refrigerate any leftovers up to 7-10 days. Reheat in the microwave 1 minute to melt any sugar crystals that may develop.
